Britney Spears Circus (Amazon)

Just in case y’all have been living in media blackout and somehow missed the memo: this week is all about Britney Spears. Starting out with Sunday’s riveting For the Record documentary, and followed by two performances on Good Morning America and a circus-themed 27th birthday party, Britney Spears comeback week has been action packed. In fact, few others dared to release albums today, except for:

The Amazing Race 13: You're Gonna Get Me Killed

Posted by Ariana | Monday, December 1, 2008 @ 3:11am

Ah, yes. Moscow. We’re still here. Did you know it’s the largest city in Europe? I didn’t. Thanks, Phil.

Dallas & Toni, leaving first, are sent to a retired nuclear submarine, where they will search the ship for an actor who was in The Hunt for Red October (not Sean Connery, sadly); he will hand them their next clue.

Survivor Gabon: Nothing Tastes Better Than Five Hundred Dollars

Posted by Erik Reichenbach | Sunday, November 30, 2008 @ 9:07pm

Sorry for the hiatus on last week’s review, but having got wind that this week’s episode was a simple recap episode I decided to take my sweet time and enjoy the holiday weekend. I’m a little mad Randy is gone seeing as he provided for some excellent entertainment (if I was on the island with him it might be a different opinion) but I believe this season is sculpting one of the most bitter juries in recent years.

Bones: The Bone That Blew

Posted by Jolee Alberts | Sunday, November 30, 2008 @ 1:50am

Pieces of skull and bone are found in a tree. They probably got there by wind. Also, Cam has hired Brennan's dad, Max, as a science teacher at the Jeffersonian. Brennan is not happy.

But really, Brennan is never happy about much of anything, unless it is decaying and has a skeleton. So out they go to check out the crime scene, where Bones is sniffing the charred remains, and Booth is grossed out.

House: Last Resort

Posted by Jolee Alberts | Friday, November 28, 2008 @ 2:37am

I'm back once again to fill in for Sarah Miller, and I'm thrilled to recap this episode since it was (in my opinion) one of the best episodes this season!

It starts out with all sorts of sick people in the waiting area of the lobby, until we focus on one guy who goes and knocks on Cuddy's door. House is alone inside, rummaging through her desk, and tells the guy to get out. A few moments later, the same guy returns with Thirteen, and a bunch of other patients, holding a gun and demanding to be diagnosed by the best doctor in the hospital. Hi, House!

SYTYCD Canada: 6 to 4

I don’t know about you, but I spent almost the full two hours last night dialing furiously, mostly for Miles.

But did it pay off? Your final four revealed below the jump...

Bones: The Passenger in the Oven

Posted by Jolee Alberts | Tuesday, November 25, 2008 @ 2:24pm

This recap is pretty late – sorry all. I blame all the company I've had lately!

Brennan and Booth are on a flight to China – Brennan is in first class of course, which annoys Booth, who is in coach. Booth keeps catching a teenager sneaking booze off of the booze cart. Brennan is excited to get to China to identify some really old bones in a cave. However, during the 14 hour flight, a body is found in the airplane's oven, burnt to a crisp. Since the airplane is still “American soil” until it touches down in China, Booth and Brennan are on the case.

The Amazing Race 13: That Is Studly

Posted by Ariana | Monday, November 24, 2008 @ 1:57am

Nick (wearing a Starr original “Today is my birthday” t-shirt) & Starr, the designer herself, start us off with a clue directing them to Moscow. That’s in Russia. You know, in case you missed that day in third grade social studies. (Although I suppose depending on your age, it may or may not have been in Russia at the time.)

At the airport, Dallas & Toni run into Nick & Starr at the ticket counter, and schmoopy romantic comedy music plays as Dallas and Starr walk and flirt. THERE IS HANDHOLDING, PEOPLE. Their love is 4rlz. Nick approves and isn’t concerned about the distraction. Dallas just wants to beat them one round, soundtrack or no.

30 Rock: Gavin Volure

Posted by Jeff Anseeuw | Saturday, November 22, 2008 @ 12:52am

The episode opens with Liz and Jack at a dinner party hosted by Gavin Volure (Steve Martin, this week's uber-guest star), an eccentric businessman suffering from agoraphobia and who therefore has not left his house in several years. Before the night is over, he bonds with a very appreciative Jack by giving him a hot tip on a new sure fire investment opportunity, and also develops a quick infatuation with Liz.

Jack finds out that Kenneth has been sending money home to his parents so that they can fortify themselves against their inbred and increasingly violent livestock herd. Jack offers to invest Kenneth’s coffee can money stash in the company that Gavin had told him about so that he would be able to buy his parents a “Pig Moat”. Tracy begins to wonder why his kids are paying unusual attention to him and after seeing a snippet of a documentary on the Menendez murders he decides that they must be trying to kill him for his money (which has been piling up due to his video game sales and tie-ins such as a lifelike sex doll that has been selling like hotcakes in the Japanese market).

The Office: Frame Toby

Posted by Ariana | Friday, November 21, 2008 @ 3:18am

I know the episode title kind of gives this away, but guess what. Toby’s back! Michael is, as I’m sure you can imagine, not thrilled.

The best part is how by the time Michael realizes Toby’s back, he’s been there for a week already. Michael is the champion of denial.
